My English teacher during my senior year in high school died on Tuesday. She was 92.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My heart goes out to her family and all who loved her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I would go into the whole story behind why this entry isn’t all that heartfelt, but I won’t out of basic decency. I will thank her for pissing me off enough to come back to writing despite her tearing down my confidence. I still won’t apologize for centering my term paper around the origin of the universe according to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And I will smile forever, remembering her expression when she found out I was a teacher (yeah, it was martial arts, but I was still a teacher.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I saw the post on one of the hometown Facebook pages honoring her on her 90th birthday, I sent a picture of my books. I should dedicate one to her, but … nah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
